You spend 20-30 minutes to install Windows 10 (for free!) and the rest of your gaming years are so much better. So I recommend giving up on Mac gaming and just install Bootcamp. I used to run Left 4 Dead (a Steam game) on the Mac side but once I used Bootcamp Windows to install Steam and L4D I realized aiming, shooting and mouse responsiveness was much MUCH better on Windows-not to mention graphic textures and frame rate improvement helped my game I got so much better at it.
